Simply Fabulous Finds! Tablescape Edition…

Every week I run across things that I think are wonderful and shareable. Sometimes it might be an item I find shopping for a client (or myself), sometimes it might be a good tip (like the one I shared on IG this week about getting red wine stains out), and sometimes it might be a product that I love  such as a cleaning item, a great food, or new drink…the list is long!

Then I started thinking: Why not put these things into a blog post every week.  So Friends…Welcome to the first edition of Simply Fabulous Finds. I hope these posts will give you some great inspiration for your home and your life. I love feedback so please send me an email and let me know how you like this idea!

With the holidays coming up I put together some tips on how to create an amazing holiday tablescape. You can read all about it here: Holiday Tablescape 2019

One of my favorite tips is don’t be afraid to break the rules.  While traditional place settings have their place it can be fun to be creative with your tablescape. One way to do that is to roll your silverware in a napkin and tie on a tiny ornament.  You can lay these on a plate as in the photo below, or place them in a bowl for your guests to grab if you are having a buffet.  The little ornament gives each of your guests a special gift to remember your dinner for years to come.

I found the most adorable mercury glass ornaments at Pottery Barn. The colors are beautiful, fit into any decor, and I’m obsessed with mercury glass for the holidays. Here is a green one tied with ribbon that I purchased from Michael’s, and I found the plaid napkin at Target. I love the traditional colors and mix of patterns in this place setting. The small dotted pattern mixed with the large plaid looks great together and adds a little texture and interest to the table.

Here is another example of the same place setting with a different napkin and ribbon.  I also tucked a little rosemary in for added fun and with texture. Plus, rosemary smells divine and adds to the atmosphere of your table setting.

My final find this week is this farmhouse table from Woodstock Outlet! I love this store.  The owners are the kindest most genuine people you could ever meet.  I’ve shopped there with many happy clients. (They are NOT paying me to say this friends. I love sharing local businesses and this store in North Georgia is simply amazing!) I really adore the rustic table with those velvet chairs at the head.  I’m a big fan of combining styles and these tufted velvet chairs add a little elegance and sophistication to the party.
